Kiedy po raz pierwszy kilkanaście lat temu odwiedziłam Stany Zjednoczone moją uwagę w kwestii mody zwrócił styl Afroamerykanek. Ich kolorowe ubrania, ze smakiem dobrane dodatki wyróżniały się na tle pozostałych Amerykanów. Wtedy uznałam, że amerykańskie kobiety o ciemnej skórze mają niebywałe wyczucie stylu, potrafią być kreatywne i dobrze im to wychodzi.

Jako nastolatka marzyłam o tym, aby mieć ciemną karnację. Latem, jak szalona korzystałam z dobrodziejstw słońca chcąc osiągnąć efekt Mulatki. Zawsze podobały mi się kolorowe i białe ubrania na ciemnej karnacji. Niestety taka karnacja nie wszystkim pasuje i lepiej jeśli jest naturalna. Zazwyczaj chcemy mieć to czego mieć nie możemy.

Styl afrykański jest niewątpliwie bardzo kolorowy, kobiety zakładają na siebie różnobarwne tkaniny, sukienki, spódnice, uzupełniając strój dużą ilością biżuterii i dodatków, takich jak np. turbany. Bardzo podoba mi się taka etniczność w stroju. Strój wyraża naszą osobowość, ale czasem również korzenie, których absolutnie nie powinniśmy się wstydzić.

Zawsze podziwiałam styl Michelle Obama, Arlety Franklin, Oprah Whifrey czy Omenaa Mensah. Widać, że czują się dobrze w swoich ciałach, zawsze uśmiechnięte, z reguły w sukienkach, pewne siebie.
Niezależnie od koloru skóry kobieta powinna czuć się swobodnie i mieć poczucie własnej wartości, szanujmy wzajemnie swoje pochodzenie, etniczność i styl.
Znalazłam na Pinterest i Instagramie niesamowite inspiracje związane ze stylem afrykańskim, chciałam się z Wami tym podzielić.
